Self-Esteem & Self-Confidence

What is self esteem? It’s a measure of how you think and feel about yourself in relation to other people, and to your life circumstances in general. If you always imagine other people are ‘better’ than you, you will be likely to lack confidence, feel anxious, and generally think negatively. This is actually unfair – to yourself! This may mean that when faced with making decisions that serve you well, you can’t really give of your best, and may find life more of a struggle than it needs to be.

But if your self-esteem is generally on the low side, you could probably do with some help in building it up. This is where hypnosis comes in as a resource that you can call upon to help you. I can help you get, and keep, the mindset and attitudes that will allow you to see yourself and others in a fairer, more balanced light, allowing you to get more out of each day.

And now for the upside – Lack of confidence is not your fault!

People often blame themselves for not being confident, as if it was some kind of character defect. But this is really a faulty belief.

Lots of things can knock your confidence. Bad experiences, disappointments, stress, bereavement, even just being ill or having had an accident. No matter what kind of ‘character’ you have, these things – especially when they come together, which they can in fact do – can knock your self-confidence.

As you relax and listen to the self-confidence building patterns I tailor-make for you, you’ll find that you:

  • Feel a lessening of stress and an increasing lightness of spirit.
  • Begin to feel much more optimistic, positive and trusting about life’s possibilities.
  • No longer torment yourself with ‘what ifs’.
  • Start doing more things that you find rewarding and uplifting.
  • Are able to put more and more genuine trust in your innate capacity to deal with whatever comes.

So when you feel you’re sometimes overwhelmed, full of nerves, confusion and self-doubt, it can be hard to imagine that you can be relaxed and at ease and capable of doing whatever you decide on what to do, wherever and whenever you choose to do it.
